LOTUS 101 ROAD BIKE - COLUMBUS SLX!!!!!

You are bidding on quite a rare bike - not many of these around. Lotus were well known for making aerodynamic carbon fibre time trial/track bikes for pro riders (Chris Boardman used a Lotus bike for his world hour record and for at least one of his Tour de France prologue victories!). I don't know if Lotus made many bikes for commercial sale - perhaps these bikes were for clients of the time trial bikes to pottle about on (there is no proof of this but it would be nice to think so). I am only selling this as I need the cash to buy my wife another bike after hers was stolen recently.

On to the bike - it is a very lightweight racing bike with a Columbus SLX frame (high-end Columbus tubing) and carbon fork. It is a mainly Campagnolo groupset (except the wheels) and is in very good condition. There is some touching up on the top tube (not noticeable until close up) and tarnishing to some of the bolts, but there are no dents, dings or rust and very little in the way of scratching. Everything works fine and the wheels are smooth and pretty true (the gears may need a little fettling if you are being picky). Details as follows:

Frame - Columbus SLX tubing (56cm seat tube c-t and 56cm top tube c-c) Forks - Carbon with 1" carbon steerer (there is no brand name, but research suggests that they are Mizuno - probably Fiandre or even top-of-the-range Alpe d'Huez) Groupset - Campagnolo - Chainset, Brake levers/shifters, Brakes, Front and Rear mechs (not sure of the model, but you may be able to tell from the photos) Wheels - Rigida DP18 rims on Shimano RX100 hubs Stem - Carbon Concepts carbon stem 110mm Handlebars - Titec Malone Seatpost - Campagnolo aero 27.2mm Saddle - San Marco Rolls If I have forgotten anything just email me with any questions. I have put a reserve on this as it is a really nice bike and I don't want to let it go for nothing. There is a buy-it-now price and I will consider offers. I would prefer pick up from SW8, London (I may be able to post, but I haven't got suitable packaging at the moment). Cash on collection or PayPal. Check my feedback and bid with confidence. Good luck :-)
